Short Description

Aulos Treble recorders (also known as Alto recorders) are among some of the easiest instruments to play due to their large size and fingering set up suitable for adults.

Sitting between the smaller Descant (Soprano) and larger Tenor recorder in size, Treble recorders feature a largely similar general shape to Descant recorders but are around 50% larger.

They occupy the f' - g''' register and are suitable for a vast repertoire. Treble recorders use the most common fingering system - Baroque (English) fingering - unless otherwise noted. This fingering system is taught in school classrooms and is the most commonly played by professional musicians.

Aulos Finger Disability model

Designed specifically for pupils and players with finger disabilities who would otherwise be excluded from the joy of playing recorder in school or elsewhere.

This Aulos Treble recorder has been designed specially for players with finger disabilities. In addition to the head piece, there are six separate sections for holes, fitting smoothly into one another. By rotating the holes and plugging certain holes, the recorder can accommodate fingers that are missing or that have limited movement.

Once adjusted for an individual's hand, the sections may then be glued into permanent position using the glue (included). This recorder is designed to be used by players who have two or more usable fingers in either hand. When seven fingers are available, the lowest tone is f'. And when six fingers are available, the lowest tone is g'.
