Based on the very poplar Vintage® VJ74, this beautiful bass is built on a solid foundation of classic Vintage craftsmanship and aesthetics, time-tested Wilkinson hardware and hand-picked tonewoods.  

The VJ74SVB maintains the proven concepts within sound and playability that have earned the Vintage® VJ74 a fine reputation, with semi-professional and professional bass players around the world, as one of the best workhorse bass guitars on the market today. 

Body:                                                                                                                                
US alder is the perfect choice for the body, not only to support the solid construction, but for this popular tonewood’s ability to distribute an equally fine balance of high, mid and low frequencies.  

Pickups: 
For ultimate clarity and articulation, a pair of Wilkinson WOJB single coil pickups enhance the VJ74SVB’s tight, piano-like tones. With impeccable sensitivity and dynamic response, the Wilkinson WOJB single coil pickups are perfect for all musical genres.

Bridge: 
Wilkinson four saddle compensated brass bridge saddles and chrome base plate, provides improved intonation all over the fretboard.

A bolt-on one-piece, hard rock maple neck is not only aesthetically stunning against the VJ74SVB’s 25th Anniversary Series Silver Burst finish, it also offers instant comfort, speed, accuracy and a great feel. It’s also an ideal blend with the alder body, to enhance a tight, focused low end, solid mids and high end frequencies.  

Fingerboard: 
With a high-quality rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot position markers and 22 highly polished frets, the VJ74SVB is straight off the ‘plays itself’ shelf.  

Nut:                                                                                                                                     
A precision cut 38mm GraphTech NuBone nut stays friction free, to aid tuning and playability. 

Scale Length: 
34" / 864mm. 

Machine heads: 
Heavy duty, chrome plated Wilkinson WJBL200, open-geared machine heads with vintage style elephant ear keys, ensure smooth and stable tuning.
